Huntingdon First website launch to communicate with their three audiences

BID Huntingdon see the launch of their Huntingdon First website to invigorate the town centre and communicate with three different audiences – the public, town businesses and BID members. They needed a  professional, customer focused, engaging website which  would ensure visitors would return to it for the latest news, events and information.

The purpose of the new website was to bring increased footfall into the town to increase business performance and improve the business environment. It needed to allow communication to the three main BID Huntingdon audiences; visitors and residents, businesses within Huntingdon and BID members.

The first task was to arrive at a name for the website which would reflect Huntingdon and what it stands for and be something that the people of Huntingdon could relate to. By incorporating the existing BID logo with the new name, it would be recognisable by everyone already familiar with the BID.

The BID Huntingdon team wanted a fresh modern design which would work well across the three audience sectors. A strong outcome was essential because the website will represent all businesses in Huntingdon town centre. In order to clearly portray the three audience areas we used complimentary colours for each website section.

Each website section needed to be structured so that information was clearly visible and easy to find.

The website contains a content management system so that the BID team can update the website regularly. The system selected is fully scalable and will allow the website to grow over time. Further features are expected in the coming months which will increase interest and ensure that visitors bookmark the website for return visits.
