As some of you may be aware, Microsoft and their Bing search engine have done a deal with Yahoo allowing them both to use Microsoft’s pay per click advertising platform (Adwords equivalent). This is good news for advertisers. Additionally, Microsoft are continuing to work hard to take some market share from Google with their new UK TV advertising campaign. More good news for businesses.The pay per click partnership is good news because it is one less advertising campaign to setup and manage for businesses and people marketing businesses. Setup the campaign on Yahoo or Bing and run it on both search engines. Better return on investment should result.
Bing taking market share from the Google search market is good because it will help ease the existing “feast or famine” situation for those businesses achieving/struggling to achieve good Google rankings.
