This month we were reviewing our charitable donations and decided that we wanted to look for a new opportunity to make a difference. As many of us have families, we are very conscious how lucky our children are and how unlucky many children (a vulnerable societal group) around the world are.
We searched out child focussed sponsorship opportunities and located and reviewed actionaid’s child sponsorship programme and the settled on a scheme run by actionaid.  web2market applied to sponsor an African child and a we were sent a pack of information about the child we now sponsor Naomi, a 9 year old girl from northern Zambia.
Naomi lives in the Nakonde district near to the border with Tanzania. She is the second youngest in a family of 6 children and has recently started school, having spent much of her younger years helping at home.Â
We are excited to see how our support for Naomi and her community evolves and will keep you posted.
