Formed in 1982, PEME is an established, privately owned company, delivering specialist engineering services, with their headquarters based in Peterborough. Having worked with web2market on their brand, the website and a number of brochures PEME needed a new brochure for a new, different audience – prospective staff.

PEME sees its apprentices as fundamental to the long term development of the business and so needed a tool to promote apprenticeship schemes within the educational and recruitment sector. It was decided that a A4 multi leaf brochure which could be distributed, via third parties to young people looking to decide on their future, would be the most productive approach.

ERMS (UK) Ltd is a family run business providing fresh produce solutions for clients worldwide. After a recent business restructure it became vital for ERMS to improve their brand awareness and appeal to a diverse customer base;  to appeal to their existing audience and break into new markets.

As part of a detailed planning phase, five core business units were identified. Targeted messaging and careful consideration to website navigation, ensured a relevant and focused website was developed.

Website development for Boat Share Finder in time for the Boat Show

Social enterprise Boat Share Finder is the brainchild of Ross Smith. He is passionate about boating and has developed a website to encourage more people into boating by matching those with boats (but don’t use them all the time) to those that would like to try but don’t have one.

The business is in its infancy and the team at Boat Share Finder are working hard to raise awareness of the boat share service. The Boat Show is a key target audience and a must for the team to attend and promote at.

With the Boat Show imminent, Ross approached us to make some urgent design and key function changes to the website to ensure that website visitors  have a good experience.

Getting the homepage of your website right!

Anyone can design a home page, right?  I don’t just mean visual design, I mean a design that achieves the functionional requirements of a home page.  Homepages should engage a “conversation” at three basic levels.

Home page needs

Meet and greet the visitor, connect with them and direct them to what they are looking for.  It may sound simple, but it is the difference between a site that works well to convert people to leads and sales and one that does not.  Read on to see some sites doing it well and some doing it badly!
